Background:
Pilkington – World leaders in float glass manufacture are renovating a building at their Head Office site in St Helens, Merseyside. The development meant a complete rip out of the premises in readiness for conversion into the Group’s main IT facility.

Solution:
The main contractors for the conversion project commissioned Advance Mobility Limited to install and build a system of connecting platform lifts across 3 separate floors. The idiosyncratic design of the building and the subsequent change of use into a major IT centre required a creative design and installation solution from Advance Mobility.

Result:
Two platform lifts now connect the three floors of this leading edge IT facility. The lift powder-coated colour finish was precisely matched to the architect’s specification thus achieving a uniform corporate appearance throughout.
